Do you use an alarm to wake up?
@eaplmx Yes.
@eaplmx Yes.
@eaplmx no
@eaplmx No, I have a 1-year-old who takes care of this for me
@abucci So technically "yes" 😅

@prologic Yes 😃
@eaplmx I do. But only when I have an appointment in the morning. Such as simply having to work or wanting to go on a morning hike. It's a fairly old school standalone alarm clock, that does not have any fancy features. Neither can it receive phone calls or send e-mails nor does it annoy me with radio programs. Just show me the time and beep at me to get up. I like it.
@eaplmx Nope. I stopped using an alarm clock in 2015, because … I don’t really remember, actually. 😅 I wanted to buy a new one, I guess, but none of the models out there were good, so I said “screw it”. Something like that.

Works surprisingly well. I wake up on my own around 6:00 o'clock, sometimes earlier, sometimes a bit later. That’s usually good enough for work or appointments.

@eaplmx no, I use them to remember
to do stuff for the day, sometimes even to remember eating, I'm the type who enter flow state pretty easily when doing relaxed coding or researches.

As of waking up I can actually control at what time I get up just by thinking about it (no clue how my brain works on that) so I don't need to set anything for that.
@movq
@movq
I have a cheap basic just alarm clock and nothing else. It tells the time and gives an alarm nothing else and it works 100% of the time.
@movq Hahaha, fits perfectly in your property minimalization concept. ;-) @justamoment Oh yeah, I'd love to have that ability to wake up by just thinking about the right time, too! As I child I also forgot to drink and eat when I was playing. ;-)
