I'm looking into building a standalone app that can connect to any twtxt pod.
I'm considering a slack like approach, where down the left hand side you can have multiple pod instances.
Do people have an account on multiple pods? Or is there not really any point since you can feed into any pod from any other pod?
@prologic Yeah, this is what I'm thinking. How about, since the app would technically be able to connect to any pod, it could store a list of pods you're a member of. For redundancy, for example.
So you would add an account (minimum of one), then you could also add additional. Then if you can't connect to the first pod, you can connect to the second?
Still pointless? I mean. It's easier to just have 1 account that's stored and connected to every time. But I'm just wondering if anyone here does have multiple accounts.
@markwylde I do have a personal (more private) pod, but I don't actively use it (yet). I also have @prologic as well, but that was only because my infra lost power during some bad storms (now I have a UPS 😅) -- I dunno about others around the place, most I _think_ stand up their own pods and probably don't have "accounts" on other pods per se.
That being said, we (@eaplmx and I) were thinking about a Google-style account switch (top-right in navbar) on the Mobile App? 🤔

I think maybe an account swither in the nav would be a good balance to start with. If it turns out many people use multiple pods, we could improve the UI to make switching easier.
@markwylde I do have my own pod running here on a uberspace.de account. I do not have any other accounts on other servers.
@markwylde I have a single account on @eaplmx
I have 3 on Twitter and 1 on Mastadon, but here I don't see the point of having multiple accounts or many accounts on multiple pods 🤔
Just to know, what would it be a standalone app? A mobile app?
@prologic we talked about that idea on Gitea, but we were going to ask people how _useful_ they feel it is...
@eaplmx We did, and the _only_ reason I can think of is if you're an operator of many pods, assuming we add "operator features" to the API and Mobile App or for development purposes (for convenience) -- So maybe we should anyway? 🤔
