{@https://www.frogorbits.com/twtxt.txt>#silxfuq} pls send help i’m using micro in visual studio code on windows and ^e and ^q are being gobbled up by vscode and i can’t quit
{@https://twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt.txt>#m7ew75q} @prologic (#mpblfza) I also did a second one to learn how to cleanup audio, normalise the volumes, equalise the audio, etc. All in the free Audacity. 👌 🎙
{@https://twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt.txt>#naonbia} Recently we added support for videos that you can upload, share and write a little about. It made sense to also support audio clips too (_think podcast publishing!_) so why not. Here's a test one I did (_please bear in mind I'm not a podcaster! I really suck at podcasting! I have crappy hardware and I don't like the sound of my own voice!_) with Audacity on my iMac. 🎙
{@https://twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt.txt>#6csv5gq} @lukem (#bipknia) Of course! it’s absolutely silly that in 2020 merge tools still can’t get the most basic merge conflicts that have identical changes right! 😳
{@https://twtxt.net/user/lukem/twtxt.txt>#kbadpbq} @prologic (#bipknia) Yeah, I mistakenly blame GitHub out of habit as I do majority of my merges via web interface. Still, it makes ZERO sense to me haha.

{@https://twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt.txt>#um6xyuq} @lukem (#bipknia) Oh that's now even Github's fault! (_I don't thini!_) The default merge tools used in git are well umm just stupid. This happens more frequently than I can care to admit, and I've never really found a good merge tool that does it better? 😢
{@https://twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt.txt>#jfxorca} Cricket season has started in our local area this summer! ☀️The kids 👨👧👦👩👧👦come here to play cricket every summer in the back of the park 😎 🏏 Who knows you might see some of them in the big leagues one day! 📷
{@https://twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt.txt>#kl6t3jq} @arnauld (#efmo7nq) Nice pic! I think those two guys the turned around were probably wondering what you were taking a photo of! 😂
{@https://twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt.txt>#fkeecua} @lukem@dooven (#kfp45rq) Well according to their status page and updates thus far, looks like some cascading failure to me 😀
{@https://twtxt.net/user/lukem/twtxt.txt>#q3qntma} @prologic@dooven in my case PRs fail to trigger CI builds with Travis (GH Actions are said to be affected too but I don't use any). I disabled them and I merge things without test builds tonight. No big deal as I have fairly strict testing regime in critical projects, but feels weird.
{@https://twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt.txt>#dpz7x7a} I just realised, incident management status pages and their updates can be modelled around twtxt 🤣
{@https://twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt.txt>#fwux7eq} @lukem (#rqsdopq) You mean, they have an outage? Damn better get my 2 outstanding PRs reviewed and merged 😀 cc @dooven (_when you can!_) ;) Thank goodness I also run my own Gitea instance and mirror everything (_well most my projects are mirroed_) there too!
{@https://twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt.txt>#kdqzf2q} @arnauld (#rm4hm7a) our main focus Has been building a nice web app and mobile app experience first. We do need to improve they command-line client however!
{@https://twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt.txt>#4kk6ala} @arnauld (#rm4hm7a) Yes! we have a very basic come online client but it needs some more work 😀 do you want to help contribute to it? It is written in Go
{@https://twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt.txt>#55xqsvq} @arnauld (#w5tz4ha) And by the way… The reason we haven’t built such a feature yet is because to do it properly we would have to build a clever way of identifying that you actually own the other feeds! Does that make sense?
{@https://twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt.txt>#inasaqa} @arnauld (#w5tz4ha) we don’t have a feature for this on the backend yet… But for now I could merge them for you and synchronize them manually if you would like? would this just be a one time thing or do you want them to be synchronized all the time?
{@https://twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt.txt>#5lpz33q} @arnauld (#w5tz4ha) what do you want to do with your old twtxt.txt file? upload it to your twtxt.net account and import it?
{@https://twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt.txt>#5skja3a} @arnauld (#um7kg5q) There’s no reason you can’t have both! At some point will also support custom domains. And yes you could merge both feeds no worries at all 😎
{@https://pbat.ch/twtxt.txt>#dfwxosq} a 1-bit delay line? basically could be used to store audio-rate impulses, clocks, and triggers. the buffer would be a bitbuffer, so it would be a very memory-efficient. the notion of feedback some kind of feedback could be compelling too... #halfbakedideas #1bit
{@https://twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt.txt>#ae3l75a} Hi @arnauld I have to apologise! I'm a bit silly, I actually didn't realise you were an external user/profile! Apparently we've built twtxt.net so well that I can't even tell the difference between local users on a Pod (_like the one I'm posting from_) os external users just hosting a twtxt.txt file somewhere. The simple fact is the Avatar you have is _actually_ automagically discovered by this software / platform. In any case welcome! 🙇♂️ 📷
{@https://twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt.txt>#spy2lha} @arnauld (#apny5ia) No worries! I like your avatar, very nice 😀 Don't forget you can also set a small what we call a "Tagline" about yourself if you want! Hope you enjoy using this platform! Let me know if you need any help! 🤞
{@https://twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt.txt>#6b5dymq} (#4zjlnoq) Okay okay, find on a more serious note its nothing to do with signal strength and _actually_ communication with the Google/Apple contract tracing API(s); rather its more to do with the flawed assumptions of "contract tracing" via Bluetooth LE in the first place, Wow so glad we wasted a few Billion dollars on all this! 😳
{@https://twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt.txt>#dcficwa} @arnauld (#eqnkq4q) I'm sorry,I'm not very good with French, but we hope this won't just be your "beginnings" but you'll grow to love this community as we continue to improve the software behind it and nurture the friendships and discussions we all have here!
{@https://twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt.txt>#jqqwigq} @slashdot (#gi5zbwq) Oh geeez wouldn't it be nice to have a small slice of that investment for Twt.social ? I mean seriously?! 😳 We built a decentralised social media platform that supports short-form (Twts) and long-form (Twt Blogs), Photos, Videos and Audio (podcasts) all on a $0 budget. Man Silicon Valley is a bit coo coo! 🐦

{@https://pbat.ch/twtxt.txt>#tst55aa} saw this great writeup once on how somebody visualized data by drawing faces with them, and letting our brain's natural face feature-extraction algorithms interpret the data. Kinda want to try to do that with some of these samples and waveforms I'm curating. #halfbakedideas
{@https://pbat.ch/twtxt.txt>#gm6wsjq} This morning I had this really weird notion of building a generative podcast complete with musical interludes and asemic speech using a speech synthesizer. It'd be interesting to have "interviews" with two distinct vocal characters. #halfbakedideas
