@antonio (re GOPATH) Yeah no worries! Its' just when you run go install <blah> it will put the binary in $HOME/go/bin or $GOPATH/bin (_if I'm no mistaken); But don't do development on any of my stuff inside $GOPATH, I use Go111Modules so its not necessary ๐_
@off_grid_living (re marketing inventions) There are two really good ways to do this in modern times ๐ Indiegogo or Kickstarter -- Basically "crowd funding". You need only a working prototype, some nice video demo, etc...

I was discussing with @kt84 on good idea for other automated feeds (_bots_) and a world_stats was suggested based on the data that comes from World o Meters -- Unfortunately it costs an insane amount of ๐ต to get access to their APIs ๐

@flavienbwk (re caching) Probably several endpoints or more need to have appropriate Cache-Control headers and _some_ probably also need ETag headers. I just _haven't_ thought about this yet. Been developing twtxt.net rapidly! (cc @doovan @antonio @lukem)
@flavienbwk (re Avatars) No they actually do work... However I realise now I have a problem with the backend. I have not implementing cache control in any sensible way shape or form ๐ข So CloudFlare is by default caching everything for ~4hrs. @doovan Do you want to help fix this with me?~
@eli_oat (re twtxt to RSS) no I donโt know od such a service, however; if one were to be created you can imagine that you end up in an infinite loop cycle between the three different systems responsible if you happen to create a feed that feeds itself! Ouch ๐

@hellson (re using this right) Yup you are :) Check out /feeds for interesting local and external feeds to follow, as well as users. Other ways to discover new users is via the internal @twtxt bot and @stats bot posts once per day on the instance's statsl
@hjertnes (re archive) Yeah from a twtxt.net backend perspective it won't matter "how" users in the wider community archive their old feeds -- as long as they do as no sensible backend should fetch feeds that grow indefinitely.

@prologic @hjertnes (re archive) Users in the wider community of course are welcome to make old twtxt feeds available as feeds of them own if they wish. No-one is forced to fetch them of course. Can do the same here too.
@prologic @hjertnes (re archive) I had a discussion with @rob about old feeds and basically the consensus was that as humans we probably don't really care too much about things older than ~6 months or so. We can just auto-archive old feeds here on twtxt.net. Easy.~
@prologic @hjertnes (re archive) Yeah I _think_ we should stick to the same conventions. Speaking of which, at some point I'm going to start thinking about taking over the twtxt Spec and adding to it over time (_with joint efforts/discussions with the community of course_).
@hjertnes (re archive) I _believe_ there is already a convention by this I've seen around the twtxt community. That is to rename the active twtxt.txt file to twtxt-<YYYY>.txt. I would implement the exact same behaviour for twtxt.net's backend too. Thoughts?
