@movq Its pretty easy to get wrong honestly π
That is, its pretty easy to misconfigure a web server to do HTTP -> HTTPS redirects π€£ and end up causing redirect loops π

@abucci I _stated_ writing a blog post if you'd like to take a peek and maybe give your thoughts? π€ Not sure if I should add more or expand on my setup, as its mostly the same as the example really, just my infra is quite extensive and many years of evolution.

@eaplmx if you can figure out how to codify this logic properly, I'll gladly accept that PR π€

@abucci Yeah it's possible. This very rarely (if ever) happens to me. An API token/session doesn't timeout really, but what @eaplmx described above _can_ happen.

@eaplmx Ahhh. This 'ol bug. I never _quite_ got the logic right here I don't think. It's actually quite tricky to determine whether a) the authentication to the API has failed or b) you've just lost network or both? I _tried_ I really did. The best thing you can do is avoid using the App if you're not connected to a network π

@taigrr Yeah I _knew_ this was a feature that was introduced some time ago, but as @abucci said, I've never seen it used in practise anywhere really π’ -- Maybe it doesn't work very well? π€

@abucci I _thought_ the Linux Kernel grew this ability to be able to hot reload itself without requiring an actual system reboot? But I _might_ be mistaken, as I cannot find such a feature anymore and the Web is total garbage for finding anything (despite Google).

@abucci Well yeah I like that it has the flexibility of different ways of presenting the tasks at hand, and I _think_ "due dates" are optional anyway. The guy that wrote this has put a lot of thought and effort into making this quite flexile it seems...

> WiPhone is a unique, minimal phone. It uses WIFI to make HD voice calls, for free. This means that there is no required service contract - you can make free calls as long as you have a WiFi connection.
I guess its really a "WiFi Phone" -- I should have guessed, it was in the name π€£

@abucci Oh wow! I'm bookmarking this! π This looks fantastic! I wonder how "production ready" it is -- Like _could_ I just buy one and use it as my "everyday" phone? π€
What I also immediately like about this is its based on the ESP32 chip, which a lot of languages and toolchains can target, like for example TinyGo -- I can just see myself coding up my own mobile phone software π
(from scratch!)

@abucci It seems far too uncommon for organisations (even people sometimes) to admit to their own failing and own up to their mistakes. I mean c'mon, we're human, we make mistake. Learn from them. That's all.

@abucci You're right about the JVM / Java putting me off, PHP does too π
-- Nevertheless it kind of reminds me of Trac, I used to use that for years (if you remember it?), also quite mature.
Anyway, I'm also looking at https://vikunja.io/ for internal task/project management (self-hosted) -- Not sure if anyone has heard of it, but it looks pretty good π
