Show HN: Name Capy – Find a domain name you're happy with
Names should be short and memorable.
But naming things is, hard.
Finding a good name? Tough.
Getting one with a domain?
Well ... It feels down right impossible.
Especially, if you have trouble naming variables like me.
Hi hackers, I'm Dian.
This all started about a month ago, when I finally started my own company!

But.
When my friend asked me about it at Starbucks,
I had to lower my head, sip some matcha, and try to hid ... ⌘ Read more
Show HN: I made a QR code tool, but with editable links
Hey HN
I made this tool that would've come in handy numerous times when I was still doing agency work.
QR codes can't be edited after being generated. If you have to change the link afterwards, you're screwed, often resulting in headaches, print delays, or expensive re-do's, so I created QRshuffle.
How it works: We create a static link and QR code, you add the destination link. It uses simple redirects so the end user doesn't know this is used. If you change your link, the QR stays the ... ⌘ Read more
Plivo was hacked or sold user info
Today I received spam email from businessfundrapid.com to an email address I only setup with Plivo.
So they were hacked and didn’t say anything or don’t know
OR
They are selling user data.
Anyone else experience this ?

Show HN: AI-Powered CYOA Game for Learning
I made Amnesia, a generative AI choose-your-own-adventure game that drops you in any given time and place and lets you explore.
I’ve tried a lot of these kinds of games before and have always found that the lack of structure and intention in “you can do anything” AI games prevents me from caring about the content of the story.
I thought it might be interesting to experiment with using a narrative to consume content I would’ve cared about otherwise, which led me to making Amnesia. Amnesia has tw ... ⌘ Read more
