Update: Finished it at around 11h30. Liked it very much and totally recommend it. I still prefer Christie's And Then There Were None. I think they're very different, the only similar thing is the idea: people are invited to a place and then... :-)
But the two books make things work quite differently. I recommend both and \*if\* Christie saw the film, they're both an example how the same idea can have different developments.
We went out to lunch, took some calls and now onto the Black Coffee.

Today's my birthday and it is also Saturday, so I thought doing a "reading day". Can I do it? Not thinking in things that need to be done and just read?
I've chosen three books, let's see if I can go through all of them.
I woke up around 6h30 (naturally, my brain is doing this now), I have my armchair, my blanket, the lamp on (still too dark outside), my hot tea (Pumpkin Chai), and my books.
It's almost 7 am now and I'll start with The Invisible Host, which you can see from the cover I'm most curious about.

Going to chapter 33 of Doctor Thorne by #AnthonyTrollope for #Victober
It's so dark (and raining) that I need the light on (I usually use the ereader in these situations, but I'm loving reading Trollope in paper).
If you want the #BarsetshireChronicles list with links to the ebooks (they're in #PublicDomain ❤️) I made a post at

#Victober Chronicles of Barsetshire by Anthony Trollope (with links to the ebooks)
I found Anthony Trollope recently and after devouring The Warden and Barchester Towers, I'm starting Doctor Thorne, the third in the six novels series. Victober is a month-long readathon, created by Katie Lumsden, of reading Victorian literature. The main prompt to participate is to read a book of Irish and British literature published or written during the reign of Queen Victoria 1837-1901 ... ⌘ Read more****

Book: Miss Plum and Miss Penny by Dorothy Evelyn Smith
I've read Miss Plum and Miss Penny by Dorothy Evelyn Smith for #SpinsterSeptember, created by Nora (pear.jelly at Instagram). I loved this book. The story starts on Miss Penny's 40th birthday in November and goes into December, with beautiful descriptions of Yorkshire countryside and carol singing, so if you like to read seasonally, it's the perfect read to start soon.

[Solved] Zotero 7 Missing icon in Ubuntu
Zotero 7 was out recently. But after installing it from the .deb wrapper created by Retorquere (easier to install in Ubuntu), the icon was gone, both from the dock and the app drawer, and both in Wayland and XOrg. After a search, I decided to try the following instructions, that worked for my case (and I’m registering them here so it is easier for me to find them if happens again):

⌘ Read more****

O preço ficava decente no dia seguinte.

Good & bad news for #JaneAustenJuly I started with Pride & Prejudice 😍, then went on with Pride & Premeditation, but I felt Lizzie was not "my Lizzie". The murdered person was not very interesting and there was not much info to pick my curiosity so I got to chapter seven, realised I didn't care and decided to DNF it 😢 I still think the book has potential, but maybe I had P&P too present in my mind or maybe it was not the right time for me?

Kinda of tired, stayed up late last night re-reading #PrideAndPrejudice. Mr. Darcy had just called on Elizabeth. I couldn't leave them in such distress all alone, all night, could I?
I'm hoping to read The Other Bennet Sister and Pride and Premeditation for #JaneAustenJuly and I thought I would start with a re-read because any excuse to read this book is a good one 😍

Janet Morgan publishes in this book a rather interesting Agatha Christie's letter to her husband Max, describing one of the trips she made on the Orient Express, that gave her the setting and some of the characters too The Murder on the Orient Express.
