@fastidious @prologic well I change it for a reason. To make it easier to read and to consistent with the other ways of showing numbers/context info like the time ago counters and down the like also "Follower/-ing (123)"
Also the screen estate is there to be used😉
@prologic sure thing. I actually made a new commit without that mess.
Also I like the arrow and highlight of the author👌 but there seem to be too much space over the txt-context now - at least on mobil:
It took a long time to do such a simple thing: https://git.mills.io/yarnsocial/yarn/commit/242785c9eb8e2af5da4cfb17a1aa6b4c5f0fcb2f
I really wanted to place the in-reply on the same line as post-time-ago+bookmark, but pico.css or some other omen would not let me (at least not tonight)
(BONUS: I "fixed" the badge to not scream LOOOK AT ME! I'M A NOTIFICATION! ;)
@fastidious Gracias!
@prologic How do I activate the new twt-context on my own pod?
@fastidious Sorry don't really get your reasoning here...
@prologic yes i can look at the default theme as well:)
Also there is no need to render the twt-context in conversation view ;)
@prologic if the <img> is somewhere in the template I will take care of making it look right with my rad CSSkillz™ it could be hidden in a <!-- --> for a start
hmm good questing if it's an image-only post, maybe just show the image icon like for non-whitelisted images links. or maybe we don't deal with these issues just yet😅
@prologic What part sounds really hard?
@prologic I would use small over em, but i will try to style it in my copenhagen-theme sometime this week hopefully. Can you provide the avatar and date-time or time-ago as well? And maybe also render the markdown, not just show the plaintext:
@prologic A really good start :)
@prologic good to know it can be brought back😊 at least until we get in-reply-to preview working
What happend to the twt-hashed that indicates this is a reply to another post? The numbers badge is not enough to help navigating the timeline and help desicde if you should open op a post to see it in context/conversation view
you mean to change specific element in the css? or to what end?
@prologic nice one🚀🪄
@prologic if you still need something to do today, you can take a look at the TODOs in my theme. I pushed it to the new themes repo yesterday
@prologic nope, yarn.algorave.dk was just set up for me to eat my own catfood in the work related to the UI and I might use it for the workshop that I will be doing here in December. So no need to follow, but you are welcome to just for testing stuff out
@prologic thx, then we just need the rest of the yarnsphere to look just as nice😉
We were also talking about having a official yarn logo and not just some pseudorandom chipart of a yarn ball - is that something you would be wuff for?
On the yarn pod or www.algorave.dk ?
Thank you. I have also worked on it for the last 6 months or so. you can grap it from https://git.mills.io/yarnsocial/themes/src/branch/master/copenhagen
Stil WIP for some parts (see the readme;)
@jlj thanks, just something I banged together😊
@mckinley it was fixed. The post was just from before the fix I guess
will this copy/pasted hash work from @darch2 ?
@mckinley thanks, but i already got -u https://yarn.algorave.dk on...
Thanks to @xuu and @lyse for the hacky help getting this running with no.php;)
hmm the hash is wrong compared to this: https://yarn.algorave.dk/twt/6otp3ka
@darch2 well hello hello there "@me"
@marado you are welcome. Yes I also still need a timeline render. Found some PHP attempt if this on github, but nothing that I could get working. Keep me posted about your project 😊

@prologic cool, got some CSS code for a dropdrop from my UI redesign that we can implement
@prologic 🎉
@prologic 🎉 i will help you sorting out how to best place the new links for each post in the UI for best UX.
It could also be in an edit timeline option under settings. What will the share do?
@marado sound interesting:) I kind did this using https://0xff.nu/picoblog and my own https://github.com/sorenpeter/phpub2twtxt/ so maybe you can use some code for here. There are some API options in picoblog that you might be able to work off.
@prologic In regards to GDPR I was thinking of the Right to rectification and the [Right to erasure (‘right to be forgotten’)](https://gdpr-info.eu/art-17-gdpr/)
it should be state cleary somewhere that you can always ask the podamin to manually remove a post from your twtxt.txt if needed. otherwise we might conflict with GDPR. it could be on a Getting started or FAQ page.
@prologic yes I think I should overwrite the oldest post and in that way respect edits, see feed for @sorenpeter3
Thx😊
I vore againt removing the edit and delete feature! If I'm the minority here then it should at least be replaced with a preview before posting similar to some shuttlebutt clients and a waring that you can not undo this after you pressed send.
Nope neocities\\.org is not whitelisted for images as of yet: https://twtxt.net/twt/iowdgmq

@prologic not tyring out images at neocities.org yet. I have been asked to do a workshop on building your own social network based on yarn/twtxt so is testing ways for easily spinning up a twtxt.txt
:
export NEOCITIES_KEY=________

# Takes in a "text string" and adds it to twtxt.txt prefixed with datetime
#echo -e "
date +%FT%TZtxt echo -e "date +%FT%T+01:00txt # upload twtxt.txt to Neocities using https://github.com/peterhellberg/neocities ./neo

@prologic my bad I was using a wrong date format
@prologic did you blacklist darch.neocities.org ?
@adi yup:)
@prologic including the use SVGs from openmoji.org is also on the todo-list in the readme;)
@fastidious hmm yeah that does look right... The yellow parts you can fix by commenting out the .dev-note in yarn.css - but bear in mind that these are hardcoding/non-working features/mockups. It also does not look like it can load icons from openmoji.org ...
do you have some kind of firewall running?
@fastidious can you post a screenshot?
@prologic sp is my initials for my first names "søren peter"
@fastidious Also did you download the theme again after @prologic fixed the issue?
Thanks @adi
@fastidious The user "sp" is hardcoded in some places because i have no idea how to make it relative. See the README on the git-repo;)
@prologic yes please let me know what you find it not working. also did you see the readme? it contains a lot of things i don't really know how to fix
@jlj called it "brother" then
@prologic sure thing. I was trying to create a new default theme I have a modest hope to see it online her on twtxt.net when it is ready for it
@thecanine yes me like too. and there is roundness var in the css for you to easily decide how square you want it to be
@quark what command did you start it with?
I'm using ./yarnd -D -R -A sp -t myTheme
New theme for yarn is up now at: https://git.mills.io/sorenpeter/darchTheme
Still needs some work, but please have a go with it and hack away
@eldersnake (because vim won't let you out again? ;)
hmm why can't I follow: https://twtxt.rosaelefanten.org/twtxt.txt // https://twtxt.rosaelefanten.org ?
@prologic
not sure why the other links are not there for you...
@prologic \nnot sure why the other links are not there for you...\n
hmm when i go to a page with an external user all three counters say "a long while ago"
forgot to rebuild, but it works now:D
error executing template timeline: template: timeline:144:49: executing "base" at <.TimelineUpdatedAt>: can't evaluate field TimelineUpdatedAt in type *internal.Context
@prologic gotha:)
@prologic Cool, but I don't see it here on twtxt.net yet...
@prologic I see a cow just over the horizon
@prologic i dont think we need a read status for tweet. I would just add stress/angst like a t kind of notification. I much prefer the stateless nature of how yarn works now.

Gotcha, my idea was only to provide announcement about the events. All the rspv data should not be part of the yarn/twtxt ecosystem. I would link to something like gath.io or facebook events for this
@prologic I already backed up my two blogpost👍 and thanks @adi I bealve I head about some awesome tool of yours somewhere on this thing called the internet
@prologic not sure I understand what you mean here...?!
what will happen with the blogposts we have already created here on twtxt.net?
This can be done simple by putting them in a detail/summary html-tag\n
This can be done simple by putting them in a detail/summary html-tag
@prologic
@prologic How are you gonna punish us? Me and @sorenpeter are gonna keep posting in the future for a way to promote upcoming events. I have seen @Devine Lu Linvega been doing the same. I would argue that that client/reader should be able to filter out these future posts into its own list, like we got the timeline and mentions :)
@prologic yeah I have also been speaking for removing the blog features along with the private messages and have yarn.social only focus on being a great twtxt client/server solution. blogs an chat are abundant available already.
@eldersnake @sorenpeter3 is just me testing free hosting at neocities and typed in the timestamp by hand so that is why it is in the future (for now;)

Also we need to headlines indicating what view you are one. Right now i belive we only got it for conversations/yarns. That would be:\n- Discovery (POD or GLOBAL timeline)\n- USER Timeline\n- USER Metions\n- Bookmarks for USER\n- Conversation/Yarn\n- other lists?

@prologic lists of bookmarks? or lists of posts filtered by #tags?
@prologic oh yeah, let's try to make themes a thing👍
@prologic no apology needed:) I was also just in a need of a brainless rest yesterday myself. Yeah let's try this coming weekend:) And with all the latest changes to the UI I think it high time for me to get my code out there as well:)
@news hmm okay, I'm not sure everyone will know what yarn means compared to conversation, so not sure I like this new feature. Is the meaning of yarn explained on the default about page and on yarn.social?
She have just not set a timezome for her feed and her local time is ahead of the rest of us
@prologic g'night😴
@proglogic can the list of followers and following also show the URL even thou you are on the same pod? It will help with the people who have more feeds/pods but uses the same Nick across pods
