Okay so the timeline tab on mobile only shows @prologic's twts but discover shows everyone's. Feature or a bug?
Also, why comic sans on the registers?\n\n
\n\nš
No peas. \n\n
\n\nš¤
@prologic I use the mentions tab on mobile now.
@prologic I remember to keep checking to see if I'm mentioned. Not much planned for today.
@prologic I only found this place through GitHub recommending the repository for twtext
Other people: find twtext via advertising of this pod\n\nMe: hey, that's a cool github repository. I wonder what it's about?
Okay this mobile app is really cool!
@prologic well I'm starting uni next year as I've just finished high school (hence my recent hiatus). There's a mobile app?
I'm back y'all. What's changed?
I envy you @prologic...you don't have to put up with daylight saving because Queensland decided to be sensible.
Another topic altogether: when I joined twt.social, I didn't have a twitter account. But now that I have, and have used it for a while, I don't think I ever _will_ have a twitter account.
@lyxal I don't know what team that is though, yet alone the actual sport.
When your video conference company profits as a result of a pandemic:\n\n

@prologic I like a good storm! But clear skies down here.
@prologic Warners Bay, taken with night mode to make it brighter.
@prologic aw shucks. I'm not usually one to take pictures so I appreciate the encouragement!
@lyxal not very good quality, I know, but what do you expect from phone cameras?
\n\nTaken yesterday at Lake Macquarie
@prologic I don't know! Must be all the people looking at Woolworths kotara
@prologic
\n\nAlright fine there's more than one bottle
Why is a picture of a bottle of milk at Woolworths my most viewed photo on Google Maps? Did 11,172 people say "wow, that's great milk from _January_"?
@prologic no, I just happen to shop there often, and decide to make jokes out of what they do! š
@prologic Happy Birthday! (even if it is a day late!) ššššš
Head of Coles Marketing: how long until Halloween? \n\nAssistant: a month and a few weeks away. Please don't go releasing Halloween products early again. \n\nHead of marketing: Unleash the products!\n\nAssistant (under their breath): I really need a better job. \n\nLater that day:\n\n

@prologic @lukem @antonio No, _unless_ it's mentioned before references. Sometimes there are links to categories within the main content
@antonio @prologic essentially, get from one random article to another random article as quick as possible.
@prologic you know how people compete to finish games as fast as possible? Wikipedia speedruns are going from one random article to another random article as fast as possible. Essentially, randomised wikiracing.
Oh and yes, I'm a Wikipedia speedrunner. Not verified yet because speedrun.com doesn't have Wikipedia as a valid category yet.
It's funny when searching for "how to speedrun Wikipedia", instead of giving specific rules for Wikipedia speedruns, it gives speedrun information for other games and Wikipedia articles.
Don't hate me, but you just lost the game!
It's absolutely annoying when you're typing/writing something and words from a conversation you're having on the side manage to find their way into your document.
@lukem haha! Incompetent ones obviously! š
Head of Kelloggs: I feel like our brand is too simple. Let's add a bit of confusion to the mix!\n\nAssistant: B...but that's a terrible idea.\n\nHead: Not at all! We'll say we're selling our original cereal and make sure supermarkets advertise it as newly introduced!\n\nAssistant: Whatever you say boss...\n\n*Later*:\n
\n\n#https://twtxt.net/search?tag=How-can-you-advertise-something-as-timely-but-still-have-it-new>\n#https://twtxt.net/search?tag=Ive-probably-misunderstood-this-lol>
@prologic I'd quite enjoy it if this community grew exponentially in size actually.
@prologic It's mostly due to the warm welcome of the community!
@felipeweber well howdy! Welcome to what will probably become your new favourite website!
Also, twting is increasingly becoming my favourite hobby.
The earth isn't flat. The earth isn't round. Wake up to the government conspiracies people...\n\n\n\nThe earth doesn't exist.\n\n#https://twtxt.net/search?tag=no-earth-society>\nhttps://www.reddit.com/r/Noearthsociety/
@prologic hey, where have all my first twts gone?
Also, how people were able to express theirselves with only 140 chars for so long amazes me.
"Piglins can help you out in the nether" they said.\n\n"They can give you ender pearls with a 4% chance" they said.\n\nWell screw piglins because I've barted with them over 60 times and haven't gotten a single ender pearl.\n\n#https://twtxt.net/search?tag=frick-the-nether>
The real question is why it's called a "cold" if you end up feeling overly hot most of the time?
Sometimes, people say to me "Lyxal, why are you Lyxal?". I respond "jokes on you, you're not real" because no one ever asks (why would anyone ask anyway...I just am)
I'm such a prankster... my minecraft username is NotLyxal
, which is ironic because I am. šššš
@prologic and it shows up in the conversation for me. š¤
@prologic I pressed reply like I did with this one
Gaming videos would be a whole lot better if they started with "this video is not sponsored by..." and just plugged some random company they have absolutely no affiliation with.
@prologic @slashdot 19-IVCOD
. Nineteen minus four cods!
@prologic for a better example of a golfing Lang, look for 05ab1e or Jelly (the one by Dennis)
@prologic no, it's a "golfing" language and is stack based rather than cell based.
wow, not being able to include newlines really kinda spoils the joke. :/
Head of marketing at Coles to assistant: Tell me, how many days left until Christmas? Assistant: 113 days sir. Marketing: Perfect. Let's roll out the Christmas puddings Assistant: But isn't it too early? Marketing: Did I stutter? *Later that day*:
#way_too_early
@prologic dang, I didn't think of that. Guess I'll be uninstalling Grammarly then.
Hey guys, am I using Grammarly correctly?
I feel like it doesn't like my text ;P
@prologic template: settings:26:60: executing "content" at <.User.Profile>: wrong number of args for Profile: want 1 got 0
happens when I try to access settings. Did you forget to pass an argument to a changed function?
There is nothing scarier than getting exam results. Especially if everyone else already has theirs because you weren't there when they were handed out. #me_irl #exams_gang
I've often thought that writing witty tweets was relatively easy. It turns out it kinda ain't
@prologic Wait we still have those in Australia?
@prologic 2 minutes? How fast are the pieces moving? š
@prologic code_golf (#fizzbuzz #code_golf) the language is called Vyxal and jM
are the command line flags used
@lukem @prologic (Rick Astley) It was *very* intentional. Get rickroll'd š
@prologic I think you didn't watch the video... I think it's a great way of taking our data back from the massive cooperations.
After having used twt for a few days now, I decided to properly understand what decentralisation means. I found that this video helped explain things. The link is shortend to make this twt not have too many characters in it.
A way to automatically see what people are replying to would be great #feature-request E.g. Have the replies inline under the original twt
@prologic (re quietness) it's probably just a busy day for everyone
Others like a coffee of a morning. But for me, a nice cup of tea is suffice!
@prologic I don't think there's much coal dust around these days.
@prologic @petstorm I guess I should have warned you about things like that... Over on github, they are following 11k+ people! š¤
@prologic I see you're up north of where I am. Newcastle is my city! š
@prologic which part of the country are you from? Are you over on the east coast like me or further west?
@razetime it's called "bless up" or something.
@razetime thanks, I found it from my recommended repositories over on GitHub.
Thanks for all the greetings y'all! š
Holy heck I took so long to create an account here because I forgot to click "add password" (auto-generated fwiw) to my password manager. Took two password resets but I finally got there.
