@prologic thanks! (again) Looks like I was here over a year and a half ago (according to my twtxt.txt file). it's been a while since I'd poked my head in. Just having another look at twtxt; mostly to add a simple microblog feature on my web site
and it does!
simple cockroach illustration just testing. assuming text entered in brackets appears as alt text description
@prologic awesome! congrats.
@prologic Not sure yet. First I need to get **jenny** working and figure out how to update my file. Then I can decide what to do with this account. I guess I have some reading and tinkering ahead of me.
looking into hosting my own twtxt.txt file now. leaning towards using **jenny** client. loving the relative simplicity of twtxt.

twtxt running over gopher and gemini too?! this is **damn** cool!

also: now changing my description to "lurking and learning" 😁
@prologic Never took a pic. Ended up giving it to someone who lived in a colder place. Turns out I didn't have much use for it in Southern California.
@prologic I did know. Just hadn't gotten around to it. Done. 😁
@~eaplmx cool! are you using any particular twtxt client?
@fastidious ha! It really was a feat to behold. I don't even remember how long it took me to consider it finished, but it feels like it was a long time. And, yes, it does come up in conversation every now and then. I'll remember to put my nose up a little next time it does!
Well, to start... unlike most I see around here, I'm not a dev, coder, etc. I'm more of a _curious user_ . My primary role currently is dad to an almost-age-3 kid.

The knit scarf was ages ago. One day I decided to buy some yarn and knitting needles. It was a basic stitch. I ended up, unintentionally, adding width along the way so one end was significantly wider than the other. It was still soft and warm though.

Hey, if anyone needs a name for a new yarn.social related project... scarf. Haha
Ah, cool. I like **Yarn**. Better branding than **twtxt**.
I'll probably end up referring to "twtxt/yarn" (or something) when mentioning this realm elsewhere.
@prologic Thanks!
Thanks @support for the auto-welcome and thanks @prologic for making it work.
Ah, so it seems there's no general consensus or _official_ way to say it.

In my mind it started as "twi-text" which morphed into "twitixt" but I also like the idea of "twixt"
@homer Ha! I'll just pretend like I didn't see you seeing me. Not awkward at all!
How does one pronounce _twtxt_?
I assume it's derived from _tweet_ and _text_ but feel like it should sound more like "twitixt"
I
Don't mind me. Just taking a look around.
