Well, to start... unlike most I see around here, I'm not a dev, coder, etc. I'm more of a _curious user_ . My primary role currently is dad to an almost-age-3 kid.
The knit scarf was ages ago. One day I decided to buy some yarn and knitting needles. It was a basic stitch. I ended up, unintentionally, adding width along the way so one end was significantly wider than the other. It was still soft and warm though.
Hey, if anyone needs a name for a new yarn.social related project... scarf. Haha
@xavavu Not everyone in the Yarn.social are coders or devs, in fact you'll find quite a wide variety of backgrounds already and we're only basically <2yrs old π
> Hey, if anyone needs a name for a new yarn.social related project⦠scarf. Haha
Haha now that's a great idea! -- Although what would the "connotations" be here? π€ -- See "Yarn" actually means in many cultures around the globe and especially down under in Australia: "to socialize", "to gather around in a circle and talk", "a yarn is to have a chat", "a yarning circle is a group of people",, etc...

@xavavu raising a near three years old child is a full time job. Really. I don't know how parents (specially mums) could do it back in the days. My mum took care of six! Not an easy feat, I am telling you, having raised two. And some people still says whilst referring to staying at home mums, "Oh, Sheila, no, she doesn't work; she is a stay at home mum". As if! π€
Say at home Mom/Dad is a full time job! π€¦ββοΈ
