@prologic @slashdot If I can don my tin foil hat for a moment, I can't help but think all this 'AI this', 'AI that' news we're bombarded with is just meant to feed into our minds that AI is 'good and trustworthy' and set us up for the next evolution of Big Tech.

In the short history of Tech / IT / Computing / whatever; Where have we seen over hyped nonsense that doesn't actually live up to it's abused name, only to lull us into a false sense of "safety" and "security" only to be turned around and used as either weapons against civilisation or makes things harder or more costly? 😂 /sarcasm
