@jlj Wait what?! Tell me more😳
@jlj Wait what?! Tell me more😳
@jlj Tell us the whole story. 😀
Ha ha. Well, I should start by saying that most of my run-ins are straight-up CoC violations: telling people about my community where advertising isn't allowed.\n\nBut last night it was for being incendiary on the subject of our encroachment in wildlife territory across the globe, and how that will define our lives in the years to come re disease.\n\nThere was much talk of horrible death and cussing. CoC violations again, I guess.
>I feel this isn’t a good look.

I agree, a community that has to resort to bans to maintain their grip on power isn't a good look at all.

>And a possible sign of a deteriorating mental state.

Being emotionally invested in a toxic individual does tend to lead to mental state deterioration, yes. Effective strategies include using non-IRL identities which preclude doxxing, and quietly making friend contents with everyone useful in the room before getting banned, in order to have real conversations with them elsewhere.
I was more thinking it didn't reflect well on me.\n\nBut, yeah, absolutely, re your other point.
@jlj I think it doesn’t reflect well on the community.I mean have we become so sensitive and so tuned out we can’t have a social discussion about very important topics without someone reaching for the ban button and citing some part of a COC? 🤔
