Anyone know of a simple poll/survey type web application I can spin up that meets the following requirements?
* Anyone can post a question or "thing" they'd like to discuss, hear about, etc
* Anyone can upvote/downvote the above
* Anyone can edit the above for corrections, rewording, typos, etc
Otherwise it is entirely anonymous, no personal information and no way to associated anything with anyone.
Any ideas?*

@adi I'm about to build one if I can't find a decent one soon :D

And what shall I call it? 🤔

YarnSurvey? I'm pretty uninspiring with names ...
@eldersnake Me too I'm terrible! 🤣 I can certainly see this being used a lot in our conversations across the Yarn.social / Twtxt network, but it's not _really_ something strictly speaking to do with Yarn.social, or social "things" in general. More of a personal itch I need to scratch, which is to (_again_) provide folks with a voice without fear of being singled out,discrimination, outcry, etc. It needs to respect anonymity above all else and be as open and transparent as possible.

@prologic yup thats fair. And a good idea. Most of the survey type options out there seem to be anything but about privacy. Probably also want to avoid the usual go-tos like "libre" being in the name for marketability. If that makes sense.

I completely 100% agree! There's too much of this "libre" nonsense out there, it's another marketing term that's becoming overused and abused 😡

@prologic My first thought was something boring and simple like yPoll is you wanted to connect it to yarn.social.
The next idea which is less simple led me to this https://www.anonypoll.com/

@lazarus Hmmm 🤔 That AnonyPoll is pretty close to what I want but missing a few things… Migjt be able to use it for inspiration though ☺️

\n> Would you slap your mother as hard as you can for 1 million USD?\n\nAsking the important questions there.
@prologic @adi @eldersnake @lazarus I have only written a date survey tool, because I didn't want Doodle to spy on me and now they even force me to turn on JS. No idea for a suitable general survey tool, though. If "opoll" (opinion poll) wouldn't have these nasty meanings I'd go with that name. Maybe put a "g" in front, to reference its implementation langauge or just call it "survey", since that's what it is. :-)
@lyse I like the name “gopoll” 🤣
@lyse I like the name “gopoll” 🤣
@prologic @lyse I don't believe it's a good idea to link the name to the tech? Maybe you could change the underlying tech, have a gopoll
written in Rust? 😛

@prologic Yeah, Rust is not appealing to me either.

@adi No, I just DuckDuckGo-ed whether there is already a common tool under that name and that dict came up in the search results, so I quickly followed over there. :-)
@prologic @adi @eldersnake @lyse I've never heard of opoll being used before. People add things to UD that might be their own invention and not used outside their social circle.\n\nIf the poll is only for arranging a meeting date then I would suggest a name based around 'date', 'meet' or similar. \n\ne.g.\nDayt-me (date me)\nD-date (dd your availability)\nmeet-on

@lazarus Neither have I heard about opoll. But I'm not an English native speaker, so my non-experience doesn't count. ;-)

I realized this earlier today when I opened LibreWolf and went to librespeed.org to test my internet connection.
