@prologic buying dumb TVs is getting increasingly more difficult. We had one from LG, but it broke, so we bought a somewhat smart one from Hyundai.
It connects to the Internet (WiFi), but it has it's own OS, rather than Android TV and the microphone requiring features like Alexa are turned off by default.
It also asks if you want cookies before you start using it and doesn't make saying no to them difficult.
@thecanine The one we have is a HiSense. Look into those next time, they're cheap, so they're also "dumb" 😅

@mckinley HiSense brand of TV's will. I just plug HDMI things into it and use it as a large screen 👌

@mckinley It will, it's in the offline mode by default. You only have to connect it, if you want to use the built in browser, Internet apps or WiFi screen share.
