I tried to throw one a couple of times as a kid, but it never returned, @prologic. Even though I theoretically knew which angle to use. Somewhere in my cabinet I have a legitimate handmade one from Straya. What about your boomerang skills? :-)
Turns out, that there are also non-returning boomerangs. And they're also found all over the world. I didn't know that.
