Looking at trying out Solus today. 4.3 Live disc is ready! ๐Ÿงโ›ต
@jlj the Solus site is rather bogus. Is it based on Debian? What does it comes with it that makes it unique enough for someone to use?
@fastidious Fair criticism. Just trying something new, really. Now that my backup solution is robust, I feel I can play around a bit more; this is both my hobby and my livelihood, happily, or maybe sadly. ๐Ÿ˜‚
@jlj oh, I understand you perfectly. I used to play more with all kind of things alike around 10 years ago. I have slowed down with age. I still play around with new things, just are more, hmm, selective? now. ๐Ÿ˜…

Doesn't seem to be based on any distro, surprisingly.

I didn't have many expectations, going in, but, I have to say, I'm having fun right now. This has kept my interest, and made me smile on more than one occasion.

I was just reading on their subreddit about big changes in the core team, though, so who knows where the project will be next year.
@jlj pretty interesting. It isn't everyday when you see a true new distro. "Competition" is only good, specially for the users, right? I will keep an eye on this one.
