Took some photos again today: https://lyse.isobeef.org/waldspaziergang-2021-03-24/ What's this red bird?
@lyse The beak definitely screams “finch”. I’d say it’s a “common chaffinch” (Buchfink). 🐦

@lyse And lovely shots as always! 😊 (I’d love to know how to improve shots like 27.jpg. I have lots of those, too. The sky is solid white. But reducing exposure or aperture size would result in everything else being underexposed. 🤔 I have a feeling it’s simply impossible due to the limited dynamice range of our cameras …)

@movq Thank you very much! I agree, I surfed Wikipedia and came to the very same conclusion, that this is a common chaffinch. No idea on the exposure improvement. I'm too lazy to do some post processing, either I'm satisfied with a photo and keep it as is or I simply throw it away. Too much work to fiddle around with color correction sliders. I even don't crop them (only veeeeeery rarely). But it's definitely a camera thing. My dad's DSLR is often much better on this regard. But he also knows how to properly use it. ;-)
@lyse Is it a Raven? 🤔
