I’ve been to the office almost every day for the last 5 weeks (debugging WiFi in our various buildings) and it really took a toll on me. I’m exhausted. It’s so much overhead to drive to the office, a ridiculous waste of resources and time. How did we ever consider this normal? 😨
Not one traffic jam, though. Looks like lots of people are still working from home as well. Put another way: Back in the day, it took *even longer* to get to the office due to bad traffic! Oof.

@movq Oh crap, five weeks!? Hell, this is bad. :-( I don't understand it either how we did that years ago day in, day out. Feels just so wrong. I hear you, I even complain if I have to come in once every one or two months. It's a giant waste of time.
But did you get the WiFi finally fixed? Or has the insane commute to continue? 😰
@lyse Luckily, most of the WiFi stuff has been sorted, yeah. So no more compulsory commutes. I might go there, though, to play some Pool. 🎱 😁 But most certainly not every day.

@movq @lyse yeah I will never work in a centralised place every again, ever. It's just insane.

@movq At least there's that, good. Well, I guess, have fun pooling then. ;-) @prologic I reckon I make this a hard condition when I switch jobs, too.
@movq I hope you get a chance to rest.
My eyesight degraded to the point that I couldn't drive a car legally anymore by 2009, so I was forced to change my life around. I'm very fortunate that I work in tech and in a part of the country where I can walk to almost everything I need, and even then it was a difficult adjustment. Nowadays, though, driving every day is a distant memory and seems quite an odd thing to have to do.
