Microsoft's trickery department strikes again: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/b0e1a1c1-bd62-462c-9ed5-5938b9c649f0
@mckinley I had a few more words to say about this: How Microsoft's Trickery Works
@mckinley

> It's not just Microsoft, most technology companies do the same thing. They will keep getting away with it until you do something. At what point will you stop letting them disrespect you this way? Where is the line?

There is no line. 😢 I know why they and others do it too 😁

@prologic They clearly have no line. I'm asking the reader where *his* line is. Many people realize that Microsoft and friends are poison but choose to stick with them anyway. I was there, too. It's not a sustainable position.

@mckinley Good read, unsurprisingly, I fully agree. Some people are just forced by their employers to use that shit. Besides quitting they have no choice.
I think it is sustainable for Microsoft, even if we don't agree with it from a moral standpoint and freedom of choice. Get enough people sucked into your product and you have yourself a solid (albeit scrupulous) business 🤦‍♂️
