Ok, added social media sharing buttons to https://mkws.sh/ π Please take a look! π
@adi Good! Also nice to see pure static share buttons, not that I'd expect any less of you π
@adi BTW just noticed all the extra content in the mkws Docs page. Good stuff.
@adi Nothing shows, mate. It is all broken. π
@adi Buttons? What buttons?! π€ They look like links π€£
Also where the Yarn.social button?! π

@adi2 @prologic @quark I'm pretty sure they are meant to be just links, that's how it looks in the source code anyway. @adi is after all all about minimal.

@adi> Ok, what emoji to use for βPlease shareβ.
What are the choices here? What's the icon/emoji set being used here?

@adi \n\n> Do you have quick share link?\n\nA "Share via twtxt.net" or "Share via "? Yes we do! See Settings -> Tools\n\nFor example:\n\n
\n\nThe "problem" I see here is that because Yarn.social is decentralised this won't work generically and the button is unique to each pod. I'm not sure how we can make it a generic "Share via Yarn.social" button? π€ Open to ideas though...

I'm fairly sure @jlj and I have been using this feature for some time now to share links to things we come across on the web π€

@adi Can we just use the π§Ά emoji then? As @darch has found you can always mutate the hue to make it purple anyway π (_if necessary_)

@adi Canβt see what? π€ (_Iβve lost a bit of context here π_)

@prologic I can see it now, I'm on my laptop. πππ
@adi Are you telling me that your Android phone doesn't have the stock-standard set of Emojis that I just typed from my keyboard?! π± <-- like this one π€£

@prologic That one I have, the yarn one, I don't.
This is what I see. \n\n
@adi Maybe your phone needs updating? π€

@prologic Final Android version for that model.
@adi That's just it though isn't it? ... Even on Android smartphones there's a a situation you run in to where you can no longer get OS updates to the phone. I suppose (_as it's sorta/kinda an open platform_) you _could_ put your own OS on it? e.g: LInageOS? π€

@prologic I could I guess, what other platforms are there?
@adi Depending on what your phone actually is, you can likely just whack LineageOS on it and get more or less the latest Android on it. Device list here. If it already has Oreo on it I assume it's not more than 4 or 5 years old so it will depend on your phone's bootloader I guess. \nI put LineageOS on one of my old Samsung Galaxy S5s (from 2014!) recently, now it rocks the latest Android π
@adi Well, not latest since Android 12 was just very recently released, but it was latest until then lol.
@eldersnake @adi Yeah, I second this. I'm one behind the latest Android release, thanks to LineageOS, and mine is a first-gen Pixel!
