Oh yeah, it's snowing like crazy and even doesn't melt. \o/ Snow getting dumped down
@lyse love that roof---and the snow, too!---and wish we built like that in the States. It looks like built to last, not like our 25 years shingles.
@lyse That's awesome! 😆 I only ever got to see snow once in my life in London! I kinda miss it somewhat 😂

@prologic anyone who hasn't had to shovel their way out of the garage, or their house, or who hasn't seeing the mess the melting snow creates, or hasn't experienced corrosion because of the salt used to melt it... anyone who hasn't dealt with the traffic mess it can ensue under snowy conditions will say the same: "I miss it."

We miss it like we miss the holidays, that come and go without much impact. If you had to live with it, boy, that sentence will not ever be written. 🤣
@fastidious I suppose it's a bit like our "Storm reasons" eh? 🤔 The heat us often unbearable, storms like you wouldn't believe and often a lot of flooding and damage 😳

Thanks guys and well put, @fastidious. :-D Luckily, we don't have really strong snowfalls here. I definitely prefer my bit of shovelling over a flooded garage, @prologic. ;-)
@lyse oh, I would trade my hurricanes for your bit of snow shovelling, that's for sure! :-)
@fastidious Haha, no doubt about that. How many hurricanes are there in your area?
@lyse last year there were 7 hurricanes and 22 named storms. A quiet year. We had had years in which we use all alphabet, and star over to almost the end of it again. Fun years! 😅
@fastidious Yikes, that's quite a lot! O_o Didn't imagine this many. Not even close. But they weren't severe enough to cause real damage to your house and propery, were they?
@lyse luckily not (fingers crossed)! Last damage we had was in 2004, when we had to replace the roof, and cut down two of our trees (they were snapped like twigs).
@fastidious Oh wow, replacing a roof is going to be expensive, not to mention all the consequential damages like getting rain in the house and such. Good luck! Lothar in 1999 was the last heavy European windstorm here, where forests were flattened like nothing.
