Lesson 240: Muay Boran Inverted Heel Kick (push head)
The ancient Muay Thai inverted heel kick is applied in close quarters when your opponent is attempting to take you down. Push the head down and throw this kick to distract, then follow-up with elbows, sprawl or slip/shrug to escape the takedown attempt.



Note: The inverted heel may not always reach and can be used more as a distraction rather than an actual strike or power move. Use it sparingly as part of setting up distractions and other set-ups to disguise your true intent.



This is used more as a transitional move in unique circumstances rather than a finishing blow.
