current tech level: installed ubuntu over mac os so now instead of the apple bluetooth share thing I open up a scuttlebutt client on my laptop and privmessage it to myself on my phone 😜
@will Hah I use Signal's "Note to Self" for this or my own OTS 😆

Another good tool is keys.pub 👌

@will did you know you don’t need to airdrop (assuming that is what you were using when you said “Bluetooth share thing”). Between macOS and an iOS, both logged in with the same iCloud account, you simply copy and paste bidirectionally.

Universal Clipboard for the win! 😊
Yeah that "Note to Self" feature is very handy.
@fastidious Why do you have ti be logged into an iCloud account for that to be a thing though 😅 Okay okay maybe if you were trying to copy/paste across two devices, one happens to be at your Mom's place so you'd need some kind of "Internet traversal" 😂

@fastidious yes it is very good. i miss it. i may buy a new M1 soon….
@will on M1s, we got one (iMac), amazing machine. I am waiting to see if a 27” version comes out… soonish. If it doesn’t, I am going to get the 24”. Yeah, I am jelly. 🤣
@fastidious 13” chief. just like the old days
@will hahaha! My son has a 13” MBP 2015, still going strong, not a single issue. Gone through many macOS iterations, currently on Monterey. Simply solid machines.

Heh, that OTS thing is pretty neat 👌
