@thecanine Oh hahah πŸ˜‚ And you've discovered the the side-effect of how this all works. πŸ˜‚ Since Yarn.social is _actually_ based on and around the Twtxt spec, it has _some_ of its drawbacks, however we also did a lot of work to extend the spec and support what was needed to actually make it viable and useful. The web interface of yarnd only lets users edit their "last post" for a couple of reasons, it's hard to go back to more than just the last line and it has consequences like changing the hashes πŸ˜‚

@prologic You still have a lot to learn from the Mastodon devs. You need to present this as a feature introduced to prevent the spread of misinformation, by making it impossible for people to change their old posts and making the likes (that this site doesn't have*) and replies look bad and all that.\n*not having likes might be both good and bad, good because I don't have to worry about them and bad, because now I only have the follower count to fuel my unjustified sense of self importance. πŸ˜‚ \nBut I guess I can add my own like footer:\n

@thecanine The thing is if you stick around long enough you’ll get to understand and find out the reasons why we made certain decisions and choices along the way πŸ€— many of which actually have significant social impacts on individuals and groups of people ☺️
