@prologic it is not too hard. The approach is, if it doesn't pass the smell test, research it. There is a lot of misinformation, and after these guys are blocked at the top level (for being blatantly misinformants) they start reaching out to what they can. They seek to amplify their voices.

That stupid guy is back on the "spotlight", and Neil Young (the musician) asked to be removed from Spotify because of itβand more musicians will follow! "Rogan has been widely criticized for spreading misinformation about coronavirus vaccines on his podcast, which is now distributed exclusively on Spotify." I created an account on Spotify just to promptly cancel it, to add my voice to the protest.

@prologic @david I don't know much about him and find it hard to describe him, though he seems to match the "weird weed-bro uncle stereotype", hangs out with Elon and some of the other crypto shill, "relatable" popular rich and guess some of these "medical weirdos" as well.
I only saw a few funny moments, that people showed me, but even then he's never too consistent with his views, like when after rightfully bashing modern art for being lazy in one episode, he dedicates the next few to shilling NFTs - which are usually even lazier.
I'm also not defending Spotifys financial decisions and since they sponsored The Emoji movie, it became clear to me, that they have no idea how to spend money and that peoples decision to crack their app is justified.
I still think it's really stupid to try to cancel him or his podcast. Podcasts were always about giving everyone a voice and the mentality of "I don't like this, so I'm taking my shit and going elsewhere" is not helping to seal the division online. On the other hand, this was most likely not the cause, but the straw, that broke the backs of those artists that Spotify always pays as little money as possible, while striking million dollar deals with these podcasts, not many even wanted on this music oriented platform to begin with.
@thecanine good points. One thing I wanted to add is that one fights shit with fire, to a dusty crisp, and then use some water to clean the dusty shit off. Spotify is in for money. The guy is in for moneyβlies be damned. But when harm comes from it, GOTO fighting shit with fire. π
