@prologic how can I post an image here and it show the image, I seen one guy did that. help?
@chunkimo by default pods do not permit rendering of images inline unless the operator of the pod has permitted those domains.

just let me know which domains are missing, and I'll add them!

otherwise, just upload the image using the media upload button 👌

@prologic ahh but I seen a couple already were displayed inline... Is it possibly because my images are large? If you can help me that's awesome
@chunkimo Link me to one that didn't render?

Are you uploading them or linking to external images?

@chunkimo who owns that domain? Can it be trusted not to have multi gigabyte images hosted there. 😆

@prologic packets.cc? I do. It's my xmpp http upload domain for my xmpp server. It's maximum allowed upload (from users on my xmpp server only) is 100MB. Why, were you able to curl something to it or something? I would hope not, but I'm confident thta's not possible.
@chunkimo Kk I'll add it to the allowed domain list 👌

@prologic We really need to make the UX no this better. Perhaps alert the author that their images won't be shown and why?

@marado but why is that? there is image options in settings ..

perhaps not having to cache them, or inadvertently hosting someone's img embedded with shellcode, spammists....
@chunkimo That's right. Imagine linking to a malicious image. but even more simply imagine linking to a multi-gigabyte image. Now users who are bandwidth constrained have to download it and this chews their traffic quota and costs money 😆
