@thecanine Care designing a simple pixel theme for mkws? Something super simple? Pick a font and some colors I guess?
And _maybe_ some font sizes?
@adi I should probably look into that at some point. I've already seen the pixelated theme on nfld.uk. It's pretty nice and reminds me of my website at flist.glitch.me.

The font on my "Flist site" isn't mine, it's from a game called Hypnospace Outlaw. It's a nice font, but it has it's flaws, especially if you're not typing in English or need less common characters.

I have another, even more pixelated font for those scenarios. It was originally missing one letter used in my language, so I asked the author for permission to add it. He agreed and after one or two unsuccessful attempt, I managed to get it right as well as make sure that all letters from other languages (including Russian) are also there and working. Sadly I never really found much use for the font afterwards, but I really like it and it'd be amazing seeing it used somewhere. I just uploaded it to @prologic s thing, so anyone reading this can try it out at: https://files.mills.io/download/uni05_53.zip
@thecanine What's the license on that font?
@thecanine Yeah, fonts are cool, again wondering about the license!
@adi Which one?

The Hypnospace font was recreated by Senpaifurret based on tweets by Foone: https://twitter.com/Foone/status/1106095130816073728
and I found it on here: https://www.fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/1811689/hypnospace-outlaw

Since it is so heavily inspired by the game, it's hard to give it a license, but those recreating it and the site list it as licensed under Creative Commons.

The more universal font is by Craig Kroeger, who has all his work and fonts at: http://www.miniml.com/ and there is a custom license the fonts are under: http://www.miniml.com/fonts/license/index.html , so that's also the license that applies to my fixed version of it, except for the "no fixing" part of the license, that excludes me, as I've asked for permission.

He also made many other great minimalist fonts, that you can check out on the site. Some are free and some can be purchased for $10 per font, though the paid ones only have Latin support, making them less universal the the free fonts with Latin, Central European and Cyrillic support.
@adi @thecanine Check out the Ultimate Oldschool PC Font Pack. Pixel-for-pixel recreations of any text mode PC font you can think of, and some of them include (custom) extra Unicode characters. The author claims that his work is transformative since none of these fonts were ever originally distributed in modern font formats. They are all licensed under CC-BY-SA.
@mckinley Good resource, however I was asking for the license on a specific font @thecanine thinks is a good idea to use in a theme.
