@prologic if they don't have infrastructure already buried they have to trench and blow from the nearest ring or hut. if they are able to guarantee subscriber density > 50% sometimes they will absorb the cost. otherwise the 80$usd/mo is a diminishing return.
true cost of the pull and installation is 11kusd for the record. rest is hand-rubbing profit.
@retrocrash Sounds similar to the "build quote" (read: bullshit quote) I got from NCN Co recently to install Fibre to my premise. $13,5000 (real cost: $5,000 max). The nearest Fibre is 450m away in clean trenches/pits down a nice concrete pathway. The only new "blowing" / "trenching" to do with be 50-60m max in the aging asbestos dirt and grass pits that have decades old copper in them.

@prologic proof positive greed is universal regardless of which direction your toilet flushes.
@retrocrash Absolutely! 🤬 The worst part is that NBN Co is a publicly funded government owned and operated company 😂 Meaning our taxes pay for it! 😳 Go figure that positive greed out 🤣

@prologic the math is as mind-blogging as 6-minute iphones.
