What are you all up to this weekend?
@mckinley the weekend is over for me 😢 -- but did have a great bbq and late evening with friends 👌

@mckinley @prologic Yesterday morning we went up our local mountain, I then had an afternoon nap, started the plum jam production and went to a nice BBQ with some friends and enjoyed the camp fire at total silence and clear sky. Came home at four o'clock this morning. Plum jam is now finished. Visiting another friend this afternoon had been cancelled due to the rail strike.
@lyse @prologic Sounds like fun, guys. I went to the flea market this morning and found a TRS-80 Model 100 computer that seems to be in good shape. I'll see if I can get it going.

@prologic There were some old AA batteries in it that had leaked a little. The contacts need to be cleaned and I think there's a good chance that it would start right up. The exterior is in great shape for a flea market machine, it even had the original manual with it. The only thing I'm really concerned about is the internal Ni-Cd backup battery for the memory. I'll open it up tomorrow and have a look.

@mckinley Hopefully none of the circuit board has been damaged by acid leaks 🤞

@prologic There's not much corrosion, I think the board will be fine.

@darch 2.4MHz ought to be enough for anybody.

And 32kb of RAM might seem like absolutely nothing, but y'know I kind of miss when developers had to be memory constrained, as odd as that might sound to say. Nowadays devs can put any amount of layers and bloat into software because "memory is cheap" and they just don't care.
