not yet unfortunately, I've only just begun learning C. i assume that will make a good stepping stone though π
@eldersnake Mate if you learn C, you would already know Go really -- minus Goroutines and Deferreds. That's about the only additional things it has over C, oh and you don't need to manage your memory, it's a garbage collected language.

@prologic I'd say I'm not too terrible. What's the matter?
@lyse Hey mate! I took the time to document the bug as much as I could with all my findings so far and linked to the branch I'm working on and everything you need to build, start and use it.

I'd really appreciate another pair of eyes π on this! Thanks! π€
Let me know if you have any questions or wanna get into a video conf? π€
Thanks! πββοΈ=

@prologic I'll take a look tomorrow, spent way too much time in front of a screen today. :-(
Sorry to disappoint to, @prologic, but that's quite a code base. I skimmed through, but that's quite a lot. I'm too tired and don't want to spend so much time on that. :-(
@lyse @prologic \n\n>Sorry to disappoint\n\nNo expectations, no disappoints, the person actually making the expectations is responsible for their feelings of disappointment, so no need to apologize. How to escape making expectations? Why escape?

@lyse @prologic
>Sorry to disappoint
No expectations, no disappoints, the person actually making the expectations is responsible for their feelings of disappointment, so no need to apologize. How to escape making expectations? Why escape?
@adi Well, I promised to help. At least to try to. What ever that exactly means. But now I didn't. Not even *really* tried. So in my opinion the decency deserves at least an apology. I try to be polite, even if it doesn't always work.
@adi Just wanna add: I certainly wouldn't expect an excuse from somebody else in that case. I only believe, it's a good idea to act with good manners. If you will, bringing back Postel's Law to human interactions: "be conservative in what you do, be liberal in what you accept from others".
@adi @lyse Itβs all good mate π€£ I actually worked out what the bug is but I donβt know how to fix it π (yet)

@lyse It's a good idea to be polite, I agree, what I was saying that you're not responsible for what other people expectations. It's not a good idea to take responsibility because at some point you might take blame for something you're not guilty of, also could lead to emotional black mail. It's mentally sane!
