@eldersnake the M1 SoC family is not just for laptops. Likewise, the Alder Intel’s family “will span from desktop PCs to ultramobile devices with TDP ratings from 9W to 125W, all built on the Intel 7 process”, from Tom’s Hardware.

@prologic Apple has made Intel nervous, and scared. Let’s just say they have encouraged the competition to do better. Intel has been slacking while basking for years.
