天使投资、VC 以及 PE 的区别是什么？**
在欧洲干了几年PE，目前又在募一个新的基金。我试着回答一下。
天使投资，VC和PE并列来比较区别是不准确的。PE，Private Equity是一个大的门类，特指投资的标的是Private（私人的）Equity（股权）。PE属于广义的Alternative Investment（另类投资），通常处于另类投资门类的监管之下，通常意味着投资标的具有低流动性或者高风险。
私人股权是有别于Pulic（公开）Equity（股权）的，后者意味着可以在政权市场进行直接和迅速的交易，前者则通常不可以。中文对Private Equity翻译为“私募”股权，似乎在引导读者认为这类投资的定义来源于它的募资方式而非它的投资标的，我认为是有歧义的。
依照私人股权作为投资标的的定义，所谓的天使投资，风险投资（VC），都属于私人股权投资的的范畴，以下都称为PE。
在PE这个大的范畴内，依据投资策略，又可细分为以下四类：
