thanks to the peculiar tenacity of fixed-width typefaces, most programming languages can still be comfortably written on a 50-year-old typewriter. How’s that for backward compatibility?

Hey don't joke! I once had a single-row LDC display typewriter thing back when I was much much younger than I am now 😛 It was great! I'll be if I had one still we could rip out its electronics and repalce it with some kind of Esprinio chip running V8 🤣

I wouldn't mind getting one of these some time. Looks good for a bit of distraction free writing, and portable!

@eldersnake @prologic those alphasmart devices are great for writing, the focused no distraction writing. i have two of them actually, the alphasmart neo2 and the dana wireless. i really love the dana wireless because the screen is bigger and runs the handspring/palm os on it.

@eldersnake yes definitely, the battery life is amazing and uses just regular batteries too. if i could get ssh to work on it, that would be great too, but i don't think it's possible though.
