Morning everyone!
Reading a lot this morning, "Morning and Sense" and "You are not so smart" to start, a quick reminder that you are not thinking like 99.99% (number not accurate) of the world.
Damn, the right title is "Money and Sense"...
@eaplmx So why not just a neutral "hello", "hi" or the like without any reference to time? "Good day" might imply day as opposed to night.
Yup, I am with @lyse. A 'hello', for me, encompasses a welcoming and a salutation, regardless the time of the day. A 'hello' ought to do it.
Fine I’ll try to be more neutral when saying things like this 🤣
I just like to currently let folks know (since we’re still small) that I’m off to bed and probably won’t respond for a while 😆

Oh come on, @tamer, can't you properly greet in your twt!@11!@1 :-P I just pointed out a (what I consider) flaw in a line of argument about neutrality. But to each his own. @prologic I don't have any issues with greetings and farewells at all. And wether they're neutral or not, I couldn't care less. In fact, non-neutral is maybe even nicer, because more natural.
@tamer Pardon? 🤔 This Yarn was more about the social etiquette of greetings 😉

Well, for async content it's better using hi (or maybe avoiding any greeting, we said hi before...).
For a real time channel, perhaps, using good morning means, "hey guys, I'm just starting my day over here"
@lyse because the day could mean 24 hours, or the period when you have light...
Why living is so complicated? 😆
@eaplmx Hmm, true. Why didn't I think of that? I blame it on the late hour.
I do like “Haasi’garn”. 😂
