I decided to become popular in decentralized social networks. 1. Pixelfed: https://pixelfed.social/win0err — mostly landscape photography; 2. Mastodon: https://mastodon.online/@win0err — software engineering content
You have some very lovely photos, @win0err! Being a wood gnome, I of course really like the nature ones the best. :-) I prefer your website over this pixelfeed thingy, since the latter loads soooo much longer for no added benefit to me.
Indeed! I especially like (_hope you don't mind me relinking it here?_) 👌_

@win0err @prologic Yeah, the sunset is sick! My favorite so far is the "disco tent" at https://kolesnikov.se/photography/full/aurora.jpg, I never experienced an aurora, haven't been up north enough. @stigatle might see them regularly, though. Followed by the camp fire in the woods https://kolesnikov.se/photography/full/kodar-stars-1.jpg and this tree at night: https://kolesnikov.se/photography/full/pine-tree-baikal.jpg This sea shore has something magical: https://kolesnikov.se/photography/full/nemetsky-reflections.jpg Well done, keep 'em coming! :-)
@lyse It _might_ be great if @win0err maybe cross-posted photos from pixelfeed to his twtxt feed? 🤔 🙏

@prologic Agreed, I'd definitely love to subscribe to a Twtxt or Atom feed for his photos. Twtxt would have the advantage over Atom to easily comment on a photo or gallery.
@lyse: Thank you, it's really nice to hear that! Sometimes I think I'm a moss, because I really love northern nature :D Pixelfed is very slow indeed, and also buggy. @prologic: I plan to add an RSS feed for the photography page instead of cross-posting to twtxt.txt. Maybe I should post updates of my website here? For example, I made a fancy New Year's design of https://kolesnikov.se (which makes @lyse's eyes hurt, haha)
@win0err Don't worry, I love moss very much, too. ;-) Let me suggest to have a look at @mckinley's article on why Atom is better than RSS before you go ahead and create an XML-based feed: https://mckinley.cc/blog/20221109.html Once that photography feed is ready, please let us know over here. :-) Regarding your website updates, rest assured, any updates are welcome here.
@lyse Oh boi. I was wondering why I couldn't see @win0err's Twt you were clearly replying to ! 🤣 @lyse Looks like your client tt isn't respecting the # refresh interval of a feed? @win0err has this set to:

# refresh = 14400

Which yarnd will hard respect and so I and anyone on my pod (and basically any other pod, there's like some ~20 or so now) will only see updates twice per day 😅 -- You _might_ want to reconsider this value...? 🤣~

@win0err And FWIW, a single pod will only fetch your feed once per cache refresh interval, regardless of how many users on that pod (pods are by default multi-user pods) follow you.

Also there is no way to tell yarnd to hard-refresh or ignore this either 🤣

@prologic: Reduced refresh interval to 7200 seconds :-)
@win0err @prologic @lyse never seen aurora, but there are nights (after solar storms) that people get to see it here in the south of Norway, but I have not seen it my self yet. But I sure wish to one day.
