Buccipod's getting a lot of action lately let's see if any of these signups are real humans who post human stuff!
@abucci Speaking of which... Do you think it's worth auto-deleting accounts that have never been used? 🤔

@prologic hmm, that might be a good admin feature. I don't think it's super high priority right now. Keeping an eye on a handful of new users and deleting the ones that don't post isn't a lot of work. But it there were several a day, it'd help a lot.
@abucci Won't a simple manual confirmation within a day or something be enough to filter out bots? Or a Captcha on register?
@prologic a UI to see all the users on your pod and info about last seen an number of post should be enough to do a manual seek and destroy once in a wild.
@darch Yeah this is a good idea, and something we can work on and borrow form @lyse 's work on yarns where he built a bunch of similar-type stuff 👌

@prologic @darch I like this idea.
@justamoment @prologic hmm, does yarn have captcha on register? That'd probably do the trick in my case.
@abucci it does not have the most people seem to hate it, so we never did it

@prologic Yeah captchas really suck. I kinda like the slide to submit idea though:

I saw this on a page about how to discourage bots without annoying people.
@abucci cool link.

I think honeypots is becoming commonplace, I received even yesterday a spam mail from a client site with a simple honeypot, maybe a question like, "Do you want an account (write Yes if so)" might work.
