起源的优点无数人都已经评价过了，但细究起来槽点也不少。起源把历史背景选择在了托勒密时代晚期的一个高度复杂的社会环境中，但呈现的人物形象依然很单薄，某种意义上充满了刻板的印象。

首先，我不得不承认个人是很喜欢起源的一些人设图的，但其中也确实有不少问题。从托勒密总督、军官以及艳后的“亲信”（可能是“王友”philoi）的一些人设上看，开发者显然注意到了托勒密时代的希腊化背景。亚历山大里亚也完全按照一座希腊城市被呈现。
