Healthy new year my friends! I tried to escape the stupid firecracker racket with a night hike. And just before midnight I saw a meteor for about 1.5 seconds, fucking cool! No, that was not a fireworks rocket. Nothing happened in that direction. With the real rockets and reflection in the clouds it felt like heavy heat lightning in the distance, but my camera couldn't capture any of that cool stuff. 
Fireworks That was my best shot of the fireworks by far. Plenty of other shit shots, if you're reeeeeeeeaaaaaaaally into that sort of thing. But it's really not worthwile, you've been warned.

I know we tend to be drawn the fireworks display, but I wish we had more laser and electric lights, and less of air polluting stuff.
When Lunar new year comes around—yes, my family celebrates new year twice—it will get even messier here. 😬
