Anyone with a "Google Apps for your Domain" 'free' account should follow this link, and complete the brief questionnaire. Do that while logged in as the admin of your GAFYD. The link comes from the "Upgrade from G Suite legacy free edition" Google support page.
@david Why do I want to do this? ๐Ÿค” -- As an aside, I'm waiting a bit before I make any decisions -- I want to see the result of the recent Class Action lawsuit that was filed against Google over this "Legacy Google Apps" acrobatics.

It is part of Google's backtrack. It has nothing to do with any Class Action Suit. Go to the โ€œUpgrade from G Suite legacy free editionโ€ page and read. The preamble on the Google Form is:
> "Upgrading to a Google Workspace subscription is a seamless transition for all customers currently on the G Suite legacy free edition. However, we understand some customers may not use their G Suite legacy free edition for business and may be interested in other options. If you have 10 or fewer users in your group and do not use your G Suite legacy free edition for business, please complete the form below by April 1, 2022 if you're interested in learning about different options for your account in the coming months."

Nothing to lose, and much to win, I think. I am still planning to move away, but if the free period extends I will not say no.
@david Hmmm interesting ๐Ÿค” I'll look into this ๐Ÿ‘Œ Thanks for sharing! ๐Ÿค—
