@ullarah, but why wouldn't animated GIFs not work while inline? Is it the processing being done whilst uploading the image? That (processing) was the issue before, and the reason I opened issue 560 over two months ago. With so much work done to show images in different ways, is there a reason this hasn't been addressed yet? What say you, @prologic?
@fastidious We're working on it, I _think_ @ullarah is reversing the logic for the upcoming v0.13 release? π€

@fastidious we're getting there! Hahaha. Patience is key π
Plus IS560 was before my time π
@ullarah oh, I am not really interested in animated GIFs, thatβs down @thecanineβs alley. π I am just curious, mostly because I donβt know the reason preventing this from happening.
@fastidious We'll address this for sure, just the way we implemented this I think was a _poor design_ on my part but easily addressable. The main contributing factor to my poor design choice was to not break existing flows at all. Anyway we'll hopefully fix this before the v0.13 release π€ Also in general uploading arbitrary media/files should basically work soon, we just have no UX for handling it.
