We were lucky, the sun came out and made for a great natural spectacle. It was very windy and thus fricking cold, though. Especially at the summit. The flag had seen better days, it's falling apart rapidly. The Berg-Back-Buben (Mountain Baking Boys) were heating the oven again and vanished into the restaurant when we arrived. I have to ask them next time what their schedule is and where I can get some delicious bread or whatever they make.
Sun peaking through the clouds The last two photos show the blown over tree I had a couple of days ago blocking the trail. Meanwhile, they cut the beech into large chunks and put them at the wayside. The trunk is rotted thoroughly and goes way up. So, not usable for building material.
@lyse Looks so warm and cozy with all that sunshine – but I’ve just been outside myself, cannot recommend. 🥴 Also: Mistook 11.jpg for a human skull at first. 😅
