- redacted: did you mean void linux?
- self: did you know mouthwash makes you drunk?
@mutefall
note to self: avoid ubuntu at any cost (i'd rather use alpine, freebsd, or openbsd)
@novaburst ++1 i had used alpine for containers, but recently partitioned my laptop for alpine and am quite pleased with it. i'm experimenting with nixos off/on for a year but i keep coming back to alpine. relays are on hardenedbsd
which works quite nicely.
ubuntu wouldn't be as bad if you didn't have to gut the thing with a dull knife to get proper packaging going. as well, there's the matter of systemd which we've both drilled on recently.
@mutefall Don't forget Void for GNU libc and coreutils.
@adi i tried void for a while but was not enthusiastic at the time.
