@abucci I never understood Pinterest. Do you use it? How, what for? 🤔

@movq I don't have an account but I use it a lot to look for related reference when I draw something.

Usually it's much better than google on looking for similar images since I think it's based on human activity for the relationship between the pics.
@movq I don't use it, but I know artists who do. I imagine people in visual arts, or visual thinkers generally, enjoy using it to make idea boards or vision boards (among other things).
I never got Pinterest either 😅

@abucci @movq Pinterest is amazing! In fact, I've replaced FB, Reddit, and Google Photos with it.

It has its own problems, but my main use case is discovering related images. For instance, memes and funny pictures for my wife, visual ideas for work, or even random comics and photos just for the sake of it. It autodetects language, so it'll mostly suggest content in languages you already know, and it has few ads.
Also allows you to store your own content public or privately, so I use it to save or pin my own content instead of putting it on a shared Drive Presentation, or a random chat.
I don't use it that much to save websites, but I see a lot of people doing that.

Finally, I don't know if a Self-hosted Pinterest is useful for me. To manage my own content I'd look for a Google Photos replacement, and I'll miss the discoverability from other authors.

@eaplmx Even though I don't use Pinterest and never "got it", I do see some value in its "features". Speaking of which... I believe @darch @hashrock and I _think_ even my dad @off_grid_living _would_ want and benefit some some kind of visual sharing UX on Yarn... I would fully support this (somehow), question is how... I've always thought we would just surface "media" as search results, but @hashrock seems to think we can also have a "portfolio" profile view of some kind... Maybe some combination of both? I dunno 🤷‍♂️
