Hiking alone in the woods really sucks. Now I have to sort through 452 photos. /o\
@lyse if you were hiking with someone who behaved like my wife, you would have over 1,000 photos instead. πŸ˜‚
Down to 92 in round one. Still a long way to go.
52 now.
Phew, finally down to 20. \o/ https://lyse.isobeef.org/waldspaziergang-2021-10-25/

@prologic Yes, this time I wasted about two hours on sorting. Needed some breaks here and there, so in total three hours. For just a two and a half hours hike that's a long time. It always depends on how many photos I have to go through, yesterday was definitely on the very extreme end. And then there's the occasional fix in post with the fuzz in my lense (I should try to disassemble and clean it). I talked to a fairly local old fellow on his bike at the bridge and he told me they're going to pave tomorrow on Wednesday.
@fastidious Is she walking so slowly or recording videos with her photo camera? :-)
@lyse she just takes a lot of pictures. And love getting her picture taken, so every vacation is a wholesome chore for me. πŸ˜…
@fastidious Hehe. ;-) I heard that Asians take so many photos on their holidays so they can go throught them afterwards and hereby really enjoy their journey. In their culture it's more about the past experience than the current moment. Could be completely wrong, though.
@lyse my wife is Asian. 🀣 It is not only about re-enjoying the journey, but to reminisce.
@fastidious Cool, makes absolute sense. Are you going through the photos regularly or "just" every now and then whenever you feel like it? Like, are there some "special occasions" in this tradition?
@lyse on every vacation, on any event (birthdays, weddings, etc.), there is tons of pictures. She also take los of food, and flower pics. I have 2 TB on iCloud and 1 TB on Google, mostly to cater for her. πŸ˜‚
@fastidious Do you _actually_ have 3TB of photos or just cloud storage from two services to cater for now and the future? πŸ€” We have around ~38k photos/videos over the past ~10 or so years totalling around ~250GB\n\n ~

@prologic space to cater for now and future. Keep in mind the storage is shared with family, and all services, not just photos.
@fastidious Ah, I see. So quite typical I'd say. That's quite an amount of data.
