Yeah they do unfortunately, that's why a spec of dust or hair ruined them! Oh boi does that bring back memories! 😳

@prologic Huh, crazy. I can’t remember having to deal with broken floppy drives a lot. 🤔 Maybe once or twice, but it wasn’t a major thing for me/us. (I once lost a lot of data due to a broken *hard* drive, though.)

@movq when I was growing up and dealing with this sort of thing we had both broken floppy drives as well as broken floppy disks themselves due to dust and hair particles 🤣

@movq @prologic Interesting, I didn't know either! Neither floppies nor drives ever broke on me, at least I cannot remember.
