_Stephan: Here, as bad as it still is, is some good news about gun violence in the United States. Gun violence is going down, so are gun sales. Children killed by gun violence is down. Mass shootings are down, although still high. Federal spending for research on gun violence is much larger. We still have the most gun violence in the developed democracies, but the trends are better, so that is good news._
