@prologic I never look in my timeline. In the beginning I thought, what's this crap? And then I just ignored it ever since. Always go straight to where I wanted to be in the first place. It annoys the hell out of me, that after login I'll not be sent back to where I originally came from. And for each login I get this fucking device verification mail. Esp. the latter one makes me just log in if I absolutely have to. So I often don't reply to comments because I think of all the hazzle and then I go: na, scratch it. So GitHub even hinders contribution. But I'm a weirdo, I know. Only terrorists and I are clearing cookies, that's for sure.

So I just wanted to point out for everyone's sake -- because Yarn.social has
had a longer history than some _might_ realize, I _believe_ we're approaching
18 months now!

When the project was on Github and under a different name back then, the types
of folks that found the project and were attracted to the goals set out were
actually the types of folks that were privacy conscience and had similar values
to most (_all?_) of us in this growing community.

It was so strong back then that we _actually_ had many ask if they could
contribute over Email Git patches or via other means, not on Github. So I made
sure even back then, that this was possible.

So... Is Github the right platform? I don't know. Should we mirror the repos
there? Maybe. Could we mirror them elsewhere, yes! Are they mirrored already?
Probably.

In terms of exposure what the project really needs right now are:

- Funding
- a Mobile developer

And (yes I know @darch) someone dedicated to UI/UX.

I'm not sure we'll get what we need from just putting the project back on Github
though 🤔 🤷‍♂️_

@lyse Hmm, I didn’t get that verification email in quite some time … Makes me wonder, do they track me in a different way now? 🤔 My cookies get wiped every day and I used to get that mail *all the time*, super annoying. 🤬

@movq No idea, I get this mail every single fucking time. Can't remember when this started, but at least one, one and a half years ago?
