@prologic Holy moly, I never knew that! That'll come in handy, it has actually happened a few times over the years (no ip, ifconfig etc).

@eldersnake Yup 🤣 It happened to me today trying to debug why a Packer build wasn't getting the VM's IP address. I _suspect_ something to do with VMWare Tools not being installed, because I could _see_ the IP via the above 😂 -- And I confirmed it was its IP by pinging it from the network 🤣

@prologic @eldersnake Uuuhhh, very cool! Didn't know about this either, but I actually was never on a system without ip or ifconfig.
