@david I _may_ have said that of course, and I'm quite sure you can quite me the Twt Hash in which I said it 😅 -- But let's not take my "intent" out of context here 😂 You are right, and I see your point (_in fact I believe all three of you @lyse @movq and yourself @david _) have all made this point quite clear 😂 -- We are missing User-level controls around the notion of either

- I want to only see content in language X

or:

- As a User it would be nice if content in language X was automatically translated for me in my native language Y

@prologic all translations suck, let's not even think about using one, Libre or not. ðŸĪĢ I am sorry I am giving you a hard time, I meant it as a joke (and I laughed at it, by the way), not in full seriousness. If this goes out of hand, and it gets supper difficult to catch up because of different languages, then a "see only content in language X" is the way to go.
@david You're probably right. But we have to _try_ right? 😅 I'd be happy with an automated builtin translation facility, if it was clear in te UX that it was "translated". But forgoing that, yeah some kind of User-preference and language detection is going to have to be "good enough"â„Ē

To be super clear though... Nobody is saying here that Twting in different languages is bad or not allowed or frowned upon or anything of the sorts. The same is true in reverse, if for example @venjiang had lots of users on his twtxt.cc pod, their users _might_ also like to prefer to only see content in Chinese/Taiwanese too!

@prologic FWIW, I was not trying to make a point – I was just fooling around. ðŸĪŠ
